Children at Moss Road Infant Academy in Askern have been invited to give names to the diggers at a nearby new homes development in the village.

Avari Homes, which is building its Millside Lakes development close by, decided it would be fun to give names to their onsite diggers and even more fun to ask local school children to decide what they should be!

Natalie Moore, Sales and Marketing Manager, Avari Homes commented; “It was fantastic to read through all the names the children had thought of, and choosing three original and fun names was very tricky.

“Thank you to all the children for putting so much time and effort into our competition; it will be lovely to see our diggers be busy every day proudly displaying their new names.”

The three names chosen were:

1.Willow from Grayson age 3.

2. Dizzy from Nancy age 5

3. Ernie from Lilly age 6.

Mrs Turner, Headteacher at Moss Road Infant Academy commented; “This was great fun for our children, and we were delighted when Avari Homes came to present the winners with a fabulous Crayola prize.

This was a fun competition for our children to take part in and we thank the Avari Homes team for giving us the opportunity to be involved.”
